‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ India@75: 75 people with 75 Tirangas participate in Boat Rally for 75 minutes through Mandovi
Minister for Social Welfare Shri Subhash Phal Dessai visited the Government Multimedia Exhibition on occasion of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day

Central Bureau of Communication Goa (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, organised a Tiranga Boat Rally today (Sunday, 14 August) as part of country-wide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
To commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's Independence, 75 people with 75 Tirangas joined the rally for 75 minutes through Mandovi river on a cruise boat decorated with ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ brandings.
The boat rally was flagged off by Colonel M K S Rathore, Commanding Officer, 1 Goa Battalion NCC Panaji, at Tourism Jetty, below Mandovi Bridge, Panaji, at 11.30 AM on Sunday.
Colonel Rathore said that the celebrations across the country in the name of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav are a tribute to the freedom fighters because of whom the country is able to enjoy its freedom. Col. Rathore called upon the youngsters to uphold the spirit of the freedom fighters to lead the country towards more development.
Cultural programs on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign were staged on board the cruise during the rally.
Exhibition At Panaji Bus Stand garnering Good Support
As part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign, the Central Bureau of Communication has organized a Multimedia exhibition at Panaji Bus Stand. On the occasion of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day today, Minister for Social Welfare Shri Subhash Phal Dessai visited the exhibition. The minister lauded the efforts of CBC for putting up an exhibition. He said, the exhibition will help people across the world to get to know the history of India, the horror and misery during the partition, and how our country overcomes difficulties.
There is a special section on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day at the Exhibition. Panels describing partition, how people suffered in extreme weather and use of Railways to move people between India and Pakistan at the time of partition are showcased.
The exhibition is garnering good support from all strata of society, specially youngsters are quite excited after visiting the exhibition. “It is really useful information for us to learn about history. These kinds of exhibitions will help us grow”, said Shantanu, a visitor.
The multimedia exhibition is open to all from 10 AM to 9 AM till August 17, 2022 at Panaji Bus Stand.
