Minister of State for Cooperatives Shri BL Verma said today that the cooperative sector has played an important role in strengthening the rural economy. There are ample opportunities in the field of agriculture and cooperatives which are the backbone of the Indian economy in which  youth should participate.  Mr. Verma was addressing the inaugural function of PGDM - ABM 2022-24 batch at Vaikuntha Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM), Pune.

During his address, he emphasized the importance of agribusiness and cooperative education in the overall development agenda of the country. He appreciated the efforts made by VAMNICOM to nurture the upcoming agribusiness graduates. He also encouraged the students to interact with the farmers to learn about the complex issues in agriculture and agribusiness.

Shri.RG Agrawal, Chairman, Dhanuka Agritech Limited was present on the occasion.

PGDM- ABM course is accredited by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, and is equivalent to  MBA degree by the Association of Indian Universities and accredited by the National Accreditation Board, New Delhi. Dr. Hema Yadav, Director VAMNICOM welcomed all the guests, parents, faculty and students present at the inaugural function.  She also highlighted various activities of the institution.
