Four Indian girl students bag bronze at Mathematical Olympiad in Hungary

Mumbai, April 11, 2022

All four contestants who represented India at the 11th European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad held in Eger, Hungary, during April 6-12, 2022, have won bronze medals. Twelfth standard students

Ananya Rajas Ranade from Pune, Anushka Aggarwal from Delhi and Sanika Amol Borade from Nashik and tenth standard student Gunjan Aggarwal from Delhi are the winners from the country.

The students were accompanied by following Leaders and Observer:

1)        Dr. Aditi Sunil Phadke, Nowrosjee Wadia College, Pune Leader

2)        Mr. Pulkit Sinha, IISc., Bangalore, Deputy Leader

3)        Ms. Rohinee Joshi, IITB, Mumbai Observer C

Anushka and Gunjan are sisters to represent India at the EGMO 2022. Both Ananya and Anushka missed silver by 1 point.  This year India participated in full-strength onsite after a hiatus of two years forced by the pandemic.

The team is returning to Mumbai in the early hours of Wednesday, April 13. The winners and their leaders will be felicitated by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education on April 13, 2022 at 11.30 am.
