The actual water accounting is being done by Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) for the water utilized from Krishna river basin by the States for irrigation and drinking water supply purposes.  KRMB has representatives from both the concerned States - Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Presently water is being utilized for irrigation and drinking water purposes from Srisailam reservoir. KRMB has requested Telangana State Genco authorities to stop further use of water for power generation immediately through Srisailam Left  Power House.

This Information was given by the Minister of State for Jal Shakti & Tribal Affairs, Shri Bishweswar Tudu in  Rajya  Sabha  today.
