The press release issued by Ms. R Ilavarasi, Addl. Commissioner of Income Tax, Office of  the Pr. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, TN &  Puducherry Region Chennai, states that the last date for filing belated/revised tax returns for the Assessment Year 2018-19 falls on 31^st March 2019 and the financial Year also closes on 31^st March 2019. Therefore  all the Income Tax Offices in Tamilnadu & Puducherry Region shall remain open on 30^th March 2019 and 31^st March 2019 during normal office hours to facilitate filing of tax returns by the taxpayers.
