All India Nau Sainik Camp 2026 concludes at INS Shivaji, Lonavala


Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Directorate emerges as overall champion winning the Championship Trophy

The National Cadet Corps’ flagship annual training camp for Naval Wing cadets, All India Nau Sainik Camp (AINSC) 2026, concluded at INS Shivaji, Lonavala. Organized by NCC Directorate Maharashtra on behalf of Headquarters Directorate General NCC, the camp brought together the country’s finest NCC cadets for an intensive programme of professional military training, maritime skill development, leadership and national integration.

The Closing Ceremony was reviewed by Major General Vivek Tyagi, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Maharashtra, accompanied by Commodore S. Parthiban, Commanding Officer, INS Shivaji. Senior officers and staff of Maharashtra NCC Directorate and INS Shivaji were also present.

Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh Directorate emerged as the Overall Champion, winning the coveted Championship Trophy through consistent outstanding performances across a range of competitive events. The title of Best Girl Cadet was awarded to Cadet Teeya Rajesh Awale of Maharashtra Directorate, while Cadet Sodha Rajveersinh of Gujarat Directorate was adjudged the Best Boy Cadet. The camp witnessed the participation of 612 Naval Wing NCC cadets, including 204 girl cadets, representing all 17 NCC Directorates from across the country.

A major highlight of the camp was the visit of Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, DG, NCC, earlier this week. Addressing the cadets, he applauded their discipline, enthusiasm and commitment, while motivating them to pursue excellence in every sphere of life. During an engaging interaction thereafter, he shared experiences from his distinguished military career, inspiring the cadets to imbibe the enduring values of leadership, integrity, perseverance and selfless service in their journey towards nation-building.

The camp witnessed spirited contests across demanding naval disciplines that replicated the challenges of life at sea. Cadets demonstrated remarkable professionalism, precision and teamwork in events including Boat Pulling, Drill, Semaphore (Visual Signalling), Firing and Ship Modelling. The cadets also received hands-on orientation in drone operations, cyber security, maritime navigation, firefighting and damage control, survival at sea, communication procedures, naval leadership and seamanship during their interaction with naval personnel.

The successful conduct of AINSC 2026 reaffirmed the National Cadet Corps’ unwavering commitment to developing disciplined, skilled and nationally conscious youth while strengthening maritime awareness, leadership and the spirit of service among the future leaders of the nation.
