Shri Pratyush Sinha, IAS (BH:69), presently Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals (Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers) as Secretary, Department of Rural Development (Ministry of Rural Development) on the retirement of Shri M. Shankar, IAS (HY:67) on 30th June, 2005;
Shri Baleshwar Rai, IAS (AGMU:70), presently Secretary, Department of Official Language (Ministry of Home Affairs) as Secretary (Coordination & Public Grievances), Cabinet Secretariat on the retirement of Shri P.C. Rawal, IAS (UP:69)on 30th June, 2005 till his retirement on 31st October, 2005;

Shri Rabi Narayan Das, IAS (GJ:71), presently Director (Enforcement), Department of Revenue (Ministry of Finance) as Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution (Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution) on the retirement of Shri S.K. Tuteja, IAS (PB:68) on 30th June, 2005;
Dr. J. Sreedhara Sarma, IAS (AP:71), presently Special Secretary, Department of Telecommunications as Secretary, Department of Telecommunications. Shri Brijesh Kumar, IAS (UP:68) who is holding additional charge of Secretary, Department of Telecommunications will revert to his original charge as Secretary, Information Technology;
Shri Ajay K. Dua, IAS (MH:71), presently Director General, Employees State Insurance Corporation, Ministry of Labour and Employment as Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (Ministry of Commerce & Industry), in the vacancy of Shri A.K. Jha;
Shri K.P. Singh, IAS (KN:71), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs as Special Secretary in the same Ministry by upgrading the post on a temporary basis;
