Budhadeb Dasgupta to be Chief Guest at IFFI Closing Ceremony
176 FILMS SCREENED DURING THE FESTIVAL
Noted film maker Budhadeb Dasgupta will be the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of IFFI-2007. Film personality Kabir Bedi would compere the Event to be held at Kala Academy tomorrow. This was stated by Director, DFF, Smt. Neelam Kapur at the media interaction today. She informed the media that a total of 176 films from 46 countries were screened during the 11-day Festival. Of these, 14 were in Competition Section, 64 in Cinema of the World, 39 under the Retrospective/Homage Category and 59 were in various categories of the Indian cinema.
The screening of Portugal-Spain movie ‘Fados’ directed by the Spanish legend Carlos Saura would bring curtains down on the 38th edition of IFFI. The closing ceremony will be attended by the Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Digambar Kamat and film personalities from India and abroad.
