Three BOT Concession Agreements signed for Highway Projects in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has signed three Concession Agreements for 4-laning nearly 200 kms of highways on BOT (Build Operate Transfer) basis, costing over Rs. 1000 Crore, in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
The Concession Agreement to 4-lane the 100 Km Vadape-Gonde Section of NH-3 (km 539.500 to km 440) in Maharashtra signed here today by NHAI with M/s Mumbai Nasik Expressway Ltd. is expected to be completed in 36 months at a cost of Rs. 579 crore. This makes it the single biggest contract awarded so far in terms of project cost under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP)-Phase III-A. The Agreement involves a grant of Rs. 80.04 crore (Net Present Value discounted @ 10%) during a concession period of 20 years (including construction period of 3 years).
The NHAI has also signed two Concession Agreements for 4-laning highway projects, one each in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
The Concession Agreement for 4-laning the 57 km long Bharatpur-Mahua Section of NH-11 (km 63 to km 120) in Rajasthan signed with M/s. Madhucon-SREI Consortium on BOT basis is expected to be completed in 30 months at a cost of nearly Rs. 250 crore. The Agreement involves a grant of Rs. 61.93 crore (Net Present Value discounted @ 10%) during a concession period of 25 years.
The Agreement on the 45 km long Raipur-Aurang Section of NH-6 in Chhattisgarh has been signed with M/s. Raipur Expressways Ltd. This Section is expected to be completed in 30 months and the total project cost is Rs. 190 crore. The Agreement involves a grant of Rs. 7.60 crore (NPV discounted at 10%) during a concession period of 25 years.
