Poshan Maah 2024 is being celebrated throughout the country from 1-30 September 2024. The Ministry of Women and Child Development along with 21 Ministries have come together to make ‘Poshan Maah 2024’ a success.

So far, a total of 28.36 lakh activities have been recorded from across all 36 States and Union Territories (UTs) and are spread over 763 districts of the country. The Ministry of Education is the top contributor as it has recorded 7.80 lakh activities so far. In Ministry of Health and Family Welfare 6.52 lakh activities, Ministry for Rural Development 6.41 lakh, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj recorded 3.95 lakh and in Ministry of Ayush 3.67 lakh activities have been  recorded so far.

Launched on 31st August, from Gandhinagar in Gujarat, ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’ is a month-long initiative to sensitise and imbibe healthy nutrition habits among Indians, especially pregnant women, lactating mothers, teenagers, children and adolescents.

‘Poshan Maah’ has become one of the most successful movements of the Government. Launched first in 2018, this 7th edition of ‘Poshan Maah’ is set to create a record and etch healthy lifestyle and nutrition habits into the young population of India.
