CSIR IIP handover the detailed engineering package to M/s. Maikhem Pvt Ltd and signed the licensing agreement with M/s. GAskon under the augst presence of Union Minsiter Dr Jitendra Singh.
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology; Minister of State (Independent Charge) Earth Sciences; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh today called for closer cooperation between the MSMEs, Other Stake holders for creating awareness about the ongoing technologies of CSIR-IIP.
Inaugurating the sixth day of “One Week and One Lab” campaign, organized by CSIR-IIP at Indian Habitat centre, New Delhi, Dr Jitendra Singh said, CSIR IIP is a uniquie institute, so far waste to wealth mission in India is concerned.
Smt. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary, MSME briefed about the MSME and the contribution of MSME towards the economy (40%), and employability (45%) of the country of which 70% is micro-scale only. MSME is the second largest employement provider for India next only to agriculture. She further explained about the different initiatives taken by MSME such as Udhyam, champion scheme, skilling , B2B & G2G networking market availability, and others. She iterated that the technology is biggest gap for the MSME where the role of CSIR is very important and the merger/collaboration of MSME with CSIR is important for achiving the India’s vision towards net zero emissions and helping India for becoming atmanirbhar bharat.

Dr Jitendra Singh informed that waste to weath program, which just stated, the fruits of the program will be taken by our next generation and we will achieve globall bench marks. He added that India is rich in biodiversity and rich source of circular economy and also explained the engagement of general public, NGOs in collections of waste cooking oil for value addition. We should be flexible in engagement of private partners and other stake holders, other ministries to achive the global bench marks in fast track manner and must create an eco system which can be flexible and fast enough to address the issues around us. He added.
Dr Anjan Ray, Director CSIR IIP briefed abiut contributions during the covid-19 pandamic to setup medical oxygen plants and deployment 108 plants of 500 LPM vcapacity which can cater 11000 patients, at various locations in india with the help of PM Cares fund. Dr anjan explained the engament of MSME stake holders, and their contributions in fabrication and installation. He also explaine the involvement of various organisations, govt, and airforce and Air India to sort out the logistics issues during the pandamic.
Dr RP Singh CSIR Hq and Dr Anil Jain, Head RPPM explained the various schemes (hydrogen mission, CCUS mission, Li-ion battery production and its recycling) in CSIR in reduceing the energy dependence and decarbonization of Indian energy needs with net zero emissions. He explained the opportunities gor MSMEs under various schemes of CSIR.
Dr Anjan ray briefed about the dignatories on the dias, and introduction of todays program agenda. He explained the CSIRs intiatives towards the reduction of energy depencednce and decarboniszation of indian energy demand.
India achived 6% reduction of energy dependence on imports by the govt programs SATAT and bioethanol program. Dr anjan said the importance of biogas production and its purification importance for its use as a fuel. Later, He presented the CSIR-IIP’s Biogas purification technology and its alliance with the govt schemes such as govarthan and satat program. Ar Anjan ray explaines the unique feactures of the technology. The technology consumes less energy and can be operated remotely.
