22 perishable crops, as detailed below, have been identified for assistance under long term measures of Operation Greens Scheme.

Fruits (10): Mango, Banana, Apple, Pineapple, Orange, Grapes, Aonla/Amla, Pomegranate, Guava, Litchi

Vegetables (11): Tomato, Onion, Potato, Green Peas, Carrot, Cauliflower, Beans, Gourd Family [Bottle Gourd (Loki), Bitter Gourd (Karela), Ridge/Sponge Gourd (Torai), Pointed Gourd (Parwal) and Ash Gourd (Petha)], Okra, Garlic, Ginger.

Marine (1): Shrimp

The clusters are identified for 22 crops in major producing States/Districts on the basis of production data providedby Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.

The scheme is demand driven and no State-wise/District-wise budget is allocated under the scheme. During the year 2021-22, total expenditure of Rs.5.78 crore has been incurred till 21.03.2022 towards the value chain development projects sanctioned under the scheme. Out of Rs.5.78 crore, Rs.4.32 crore has been released as Grant-in-aid for the projects sanctioned in the State of Gujarat and remaining Rs.1.46 crore has been released as Grant-in-aid for the project sanctioned in the State of Maharashtra.
