Funds For NGP
The Government of India has launched the Namami Gange Programme in June 2014, with the total budgetary outlay of Rs.20,000 crore to accomplish the twin objectives of effective abatement of pollution, conservation and rejuvenation of National River Ganga and its tributaries.
The Government of India releases funds to National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) for implementing of the programme, thereafter NMCG further releases funds to State Governments/ Executing Agencies. From Financial Year 2014-15 till 31st October, 2021, the Government of India has released Rs.11,017.02 crore to NMCG, out of which Rs. 10,707.02 crore has been disbursed to the State Governments/ Executing Agencies.
The State-wise funds released / expended from financial year 2014-15 till 31st October, 2021 by National Mission for Clean Ganga are at Annexure-I.
