The
international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by
Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and
Natural Gas went down to US$ 107.47/per barrel (bbl) on 23.09.2013. This was lower
than the price US$ 108.30/bbl on the previous trading day of 20.09.2013.
In
rupee terms also, the crude oil price declined to Rs 6719.02 per bbl on 23.09.2013
as compared to Rs 6740.59 /bbl on 20.9.2013. This was
due to fall in price in dollar terms though rupee depreciation wiped out a part
of the gains. Rupee dollar exchange rate on 23.09.2013 at Rs 62.52/US$ against Rs 62.24/bbl on
previous trading day of 20.09.2013.
