Vice President Condoles the Passing Away of Shri Mohan Singh
The Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari has condoled the passing away of Shri Mohan Singh, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), and General Secretary of the Samajwadi Party.
The text of the Vice President’s condolence message is as follows:
“I am profoundly saddened at the passing away of Shri Mohan Singh, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), and General Secretary of the Samajwadi Party, earlier today.
Shri Singh had a long and distinguished career in public life during which he served, with distinction, as Member of Parliament, in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha; and Member of Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council in his home state of Uttar Pradesh. A committed socialist, he was an outstanding Parliamentarian and a popular leader who was deeply attached to the issues of interest and concern to the common people.
I convey my heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family. I pray to the Almighty to give them strength and fortitude to bear this loss.”
