The Government has released an amount of Rs. 2.50 lakhs to the families of each of the 6 Indian seafarers
held hostage by Somali Pirates of the hijacked vessel M.V. Iceberg I.
The above information was given by the Union Minister of Shipping, Shri
G.K. Vasan in
a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
