International Crude Oil Price of Indian Basket Rises on 08.08.2012 to Rule at US$ 109.15/Bbl

The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas increased sharply to 109.15 US$ /barrel (bbl) on 08.8.2012.The price was higher by nearly one dollars than US$ 108.18 /bbl on the previous trading day of 07.8.2012.

 

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 6019.62 per bbl on 08.08.2012 from Rs 6003.99 per bbl on 07.08.2012. This was due to price increase in dollar terms despite rupee appreciation with rupee-dollar exchange rate on 08.08.2012 at Rs 55.15/US$ against Rs 55.50/US$ on 07.08.2012.
