The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today
by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum
and Natural Gas decreased to US$ 97.98/barrel (bbl) on 06.7.2012.The price was lower
than US$ 99.40 /bbl on the previous trading day of 5.7.2012.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price fall to

5430.05 per bbl on 06.07.2012 from

5469.98 per bbl on 5.07.2012. This decline was marginal as rupee depreciation
wiped out same of gains made from fall in price
in dollar terms. The rupee-dollar exchange rate
on 06.07.2012 was

Rs
55.03/US$ on 5.07.2012.
