The international crude oil price for
Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and
Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas increased
went up marginally on 20.4.2012 to US$ 116.21 per barrel
(bbl) as compared to US$ 116.06 /bbl representing previous trading day’s price
of 19.04.2012.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased
up to Rs
6042.92 on 20.4.2012
from Rs
6022.35 per bbl on 19.04.2012. This was
due to increase in crude oil price in dollar terms and rupee depreciation with rupee-dollar
exchange of Rs
52.00/US$ on 20.4.2012 against Rs
51.89/US$ on 19.04.2012.
