International Price of Crude Oil - Indian Basket
Registers 2 Dollar Fall on 11.4.2012 to Rule at US$ 117.92/BBL

The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on 11.4.2012 fell sharply by nearly US$ 2 per barrel (bbl) to US$ 117.92 per barrel (bbl). The comparative price published yesterday representing price of 10.04.2012 was US$ 119.90/bbl.

 

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price declined to Rs 6078.78 on 11.4.2012 against Rs 6138.88 per bbl on 10.04.2012. This was due to fall in crude oil price in dollar terms and rupee depreciation with rupee-dollar exchange rate on 11.4.2012 at Rs 51.55 /US$ against Rs 51.20  /US$ on 10.04.2012.
