The Minister of State
(Independent Charge) for Statistics and Programme Implementation Shri Srikant
Kumar Jena informed the Rajya Sabha today that as per
information received from the district authorities, there are three MPs of 15th
Lok Sabha and 22 sitting MPs of Rajya Sabha for whom
no sanctions have been issued for developmental works under the MPLAD Scheme
for utilization of funds. The names, party and constituency of these MPs are at
Annexure.
In a written reply he
said, the general complaints received in the Ministry from time to time,
include: delay in implementation of MPLADS works by district authorities, mis-utilization of funds, execution of in-eligible works,
forged recommendation letters, incomplete works and poor use of assets, etc.
