The Minister further
stated that for team events, the amount of award money is dependent on the
number of players in the team. However, in no case, the award money payable to
a player of the medal winning team is less than half of the award money payable
to an individual medal winner. The amount of award money payable to coaches is
50% of the award money payable to the sportsperson. The amount of award money
payable to sportspersons is uniform across the various sports disciplines.
