Mahadeo Singh Khandela Assumes Charge as Minister of State for Tribal Welfare
The State Minister for Tribal Affairs, Shri Mahadeo Singh Khandela has taken the charge of the office here today. Earlier, he had been a Minister of State for the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

He was born at Dulhepura (Khandela) in Sikar District of Rajasthan on 23rd September,1943 to his parents late Dhapu Devi and late Manbhar Ram. Shri Khandela did his post-graduation in Economics from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He is married to Smt. Parvati Singh and the couple is blessed with a son, Shri Giri Raj Singh.

Shri Khandela is an Agriculturist by profession and has special interest in social work. No wonder, thus, he was elected as an Indian National Congress Member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly for the terms, 1980 to 1985; 1985 to 1990; 1993 to 1998; 1998 to 2003 to 2008.

Shri Khandela has wide interest in reading, travelling and sports. He has travelled to Nepal, Dubai, UAE, Israel etc.
