SMT. Ambika Soni Condoles the Death of Shri Vijay Jadhav, Director, NFAI
Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Smt. Ambika Soni has condoled the death of Shri Vijay Jadhav, an Indian Information Service Officer of the 1995 batch, Director, NFAI. In her message to the bereaved family, Smt. Soni said -

“I am deeply shocked to learn about the untimely demise of Shri Vijay Jadhav, an Indian Information Service Officer, Director, National Film Archives of India. His untimely death has left a void in this Ministry which would be very difficult to fill.

I had the opportunity to observe Shri Jadhav’s work during our discussions on setting up of National Film Heritage Mission. His professionalism remained unmatched and committed to the tasks assigned to him from time to time. He had a vision for restoring the socio-cultural heritage of this country through the medium of films. I was deeply impressed with his innovative ideas and his ability to lead from the front.

The National Film Heritage Mission is expected to be completed by 2013. My Ministry shall always acknowledge Shri Jadhav’s contribution in establishing the mission’s vision during the centenary celebrations of Indian Cinema in 2013. We hope to fulfill his unfinished dreams in the realm of preservation and conservation.

I pray to God to give the family the necessary strength to overcome the crisis.”
