Licence to Launch New Mobile Service

                The Government has granted 122 new Unified Access Services (UAS) licences in the year 2008 to 17 applicant companies in terms of the extant UAS Licence Guidelines dated 14.12.2005.  A list containing present names of the 17 UAS licensee companies is as under:

                It is proposed to take action against the companies which have not rolled out services within stipulated time, as per the terms and condition of the UAS licence agreement.
