Flouting of Guidelines by Airlines
The Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri Praful Patel gave the following information regarding flouting of guidelines by scheduled carriers in Lok Sabha today:

Recently show cause notices have been issued to the following airlines for non-compliance of the guidelines:-

(i) M/s. Paramount Airways did not comply with the guidelines in respect of minimum number of aircraft in the fleet.

(ii) M/s. Spice Jet Ltd. for overloading the aircraft.

(iii)M/s InterGlobe Aviation Pvt. Ltd. for not adhering to the Route Dispersal Guidelines.

Their replies have been received in Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) while, matter of M/s. Paramount Airways is pending in High Court of Madras. The replies of Spicejet and InterGlobe have been considered by the DGCA and appropriate actions as per law have been taken.
