Formation of National Employment Labour Policy
Formulation of National Employment Policy is under consideration of the Government. The objective of Policy is to provide a holistic framework towards the goal of remunerative and decent employment (for addressing job security, better remuneration & employment retention) for all men & women in the labour force in a sustainable manner. The Policy proposes to include, issues relating to macro economic policies, sectoral policies, labour market policies, micro and small enterprises, skill development and cross cutting issues such as women and other vulnerable workers. The Policy also suggests steps for improving avenues of employment.
The Minister of Labour and Employment Shri Mallikarjun Kharge gave this information in reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today.
