In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today he said, the resources and reserves of iron ore available in the country including the ore available in the existing iron ore mines are assessed periodically and are available in the Indian Minerals Year Book, published by the Indian Bureau of Mines, a copy of which is supplied to the Parliament Library on regular basis.  However, the Indian Bureau of Mines has requested the State Governments and all the lease holders, including captive mines to re-assess the mineral reserves in terms of the revised threshold values notified for minerals, including iron ore.
