Introduction of Clean Train Station Scheme
‘Clean Train Station’ scheme was launched by Indian Railways with a view to improve upon the standards of cleanliness in trains. Mechanized cleaning attention is given to identified trains during their schedule stoppage with focus on cleaning and disinfecting of toilets, doorways and aisles. As of now, 27 such Clean Train Stations, including New Delhi, are functional. Action is underway for setting up three more Clean Train Stations during the current financial year as under:

(i) Allahabad (North Central Railway)
(ii) Kanpur (North Central Railway)
(iii) Katnai (West Central Railway)
