Taiwanese New Wave Cinema at IFFI
All of Taiwan’s savvy film makers will make their presence felt at IFFI 2010 .A package titled ‘Taiwanese New Wave Cinema’ will be presented at the Festival. 8 films including those of Ang Lee, Edward Yang, Stan Lai and Hou Shiao-Hsien will be showcased at the Festival. Screening of the films from the 80’s and 90’s representing the New Wave Cinema begins today with Taipei Exchanges (1985). The other films that will be shown as part of the Package includes: In Our Time (1982), Vive l’Amour (1994), Eat Drink Man Woman (1994), Growing Up (1983), The City of Sadness (1989), The Sandwich Man (1983) and Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land (1992).
To present the package, two of the directors, an actor and a technician will be present at the Festival.
