58 Legislations and two Financial items Scheduled for Business in Winter Session
Winter Session of Parliament to Commence from 9th November 2010

The Winter Session, 2010 of Parliament (6th Session of Fifteenth Lok Sabha and the 221st Session of the Rajya Sabha) is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, the 9th of November, 2010. Subject to exigencies of Government Business, the Session will conclude on Monday, the 13th of December, 2010.  The Session will provide 24 sittings spread over a period of 35 days.   

 

The Session will mainly be devoted to essential Government legislative and other business, including financial business relating to Supplementary Demand for Grants for the year 2010-11 in respect of General Budget.

 

            To finalise the Government Business for the Winter Session, 2010, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal alongwith Minister of State, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Shri V Narayanasamy, took a meeting with the Secretaries/Senior Officers of the various Ministries/Departments in New Delhi today. Addressing the media later in the day alongwith Minister of State, Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Shri Bansal gave out the details of the Business likely to be taken up during the forthcoming Session. The legislations and Financial business listed for the session are as follows:-
