Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah releases Bureau of Police Research and Development publication “Data on Police Organizations as on 1.1.2019”

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah today released the “Data on Police Organizations as on 1.1.2019” in India, in the presence of Shri V S K Kaumudi, DG, BPR&D, and other senior officers of the BPR&D.

The BPR&D has been publishing the “Data on Police Organizations” annually since 1986.  Data on Police Organizations as on 01/01/2018” was released by Shri G. Kishan Reddy, MoS (Home) on the 24th of October, 2018. Simultaneously, the process for obtaining the data and preparation of “DoPO as on 01.01.2019” started and was completed by December, 2019.

The Minister reviewed the above publications and expressed his happiness over the good work being done by the BPR&D, especially about the “Drill Manual in Hindi”.

Prior to the release of “DoPO as on 01.01.2019”, DG, BPR&D presented a lapel pin, especially designed for the Golden Jubilee Year of the BPR&D, to Shri Shah, as a token of gratitude for his support and guidance to the Bureau.

An insignia has also been approved by the MHA for the staff of the BPR&D for the 50th year of its formation.
