All unmanned level crossings (UMLCs) on Broad Gauge (BG) have been eliminated on 31st Jan 2019. The UMLCs on Meter Gauge (348 Nos.) and Narrow Gauge (700 Nos.) will be eliminated during Gauge conversion.
Year-wise elimination of UMLCs (by closure, merger, subway and manning) during the last three years is as follows:
