Recognizing the importance of data protection and keeping personal data of citizens secure and protected, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India constituted a Committee of Experts under the Chairmanship of Justice B N Srikrishna, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India.
The Committee of Experts on Data Protection has submitted its report and draft Personal Data Protection Bill, which are available on MeitY website URL: http://meity.gov.in/data-protection-framework
MeitY solicits comments of General Public on the report and Draft Personal Data Protection Bill by 10thSeptember, 2018.
