Lok Sabha
As per the
capacity addition programme of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited
(NHPC), a capacity of 2480 MW is proposed to be added during the 10th
Plan (2002-07) and a capacity of 7707 MW is proposed to be added during 11th
Plan (2007-2012). In a written reply to
a question in the Lok Sabha today, the Union Minister of Power, Shri P.M.
Sayeed gave further details of the power projects commissioned/taken
up/proposed to be taken up by the NHPC during the 10th & 11th
Plans which are as follows. An
investment of about Rs.60,000 crores is envisaged for these projects.
