Defence deals with Foreign Countries
Excluding vendors from France, Germany and Russia, eight contracts have been signed with foreign vendors during 2015-16, including those from countries such as USA, Sweden and Israel, for capital procurement of Defence equipment at a total cost of Rs.23630.68 Crore. No contract has been signed during 2015-16 for procurement of Advanced fighter planes.
This information was given by Defence Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar in a written reply to Shri Parvez Hashmi in Rajya Sabha today.
