Justice Subray Rama Nayak appointed as Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court
The President has appointed Shri Justice Subray Rama Nayak, Judge of the Karnataka High Court, as the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
Born on January 1, 1945, Justice Nayak was enrolled as an Advocate in Karnataka High Court on March 1, 1974 and practised in the High Court, Trial Courts and Tribunals in Bangalore on Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Taxation, Labour and Service Laws. He was appointed as the permanent Judge of the Karnataka High Court on February 25, 1994 and transferred to AP High Court on March 21, 1994. He was transferred back to the Karnataka High Court on December 24, 2002. He will be retiring on January 1, 2007.
