Riverfront Projects

                                                           

River Front Development (RFD) Projects help in control of Liquid & Solid waste pollution in places where large congregation of public takes place on the banks of the river for religious and tourism purposes. At the same time, these projects help to facilitate public conveniences such as changing rooms, toilets, sitting area, etc. apart from general beautification of the area.

The RFD project proposals received by NMCG are at various stages of appraisal. Under the Cabinet approved Namami Gange programme, Rs. 250 crore have been earmarked for various RFD projects, which are expected to be completed by 2020.

 

National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) has received a number of proposals for River Front Development (RFD), the State-wise details are given below:-
