The Scheme of One Stop Centre for Women affected
by violence with total project cost of Rs. 18.58 crore has also been approved
to be funded under Nirbhaya Fund. The scheme is being implemented since 1st
April 2015. The Scheme envisages establishment of 1 ‘One Stop Centre’ in each
State/UT in the first phase.
All the States/UTs have been requested to submit
the proposals in order to release funds. So far, the funds released to
State/UTs for setting up One Stop Centres in the country are as under.

The first One Stop Centre has been set up at
Raipur, Chhattisgarh on 16th July, 2015.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development
(MWCD), has also approved a Scheme for Universalisation of Women Helpline to be
funded through Nirbhaya Fund. The scheme of Universalisation of Women
Helpline is exclusively designed to support women affected by violence, both in
private and public spaces, including in the family, community, workplace
etc. The Women Helpline (Helpline) will provide 24 hour emergency
response to all women affected by violence both in public and private
sphere. It has been envisaged to integrate these One Stop Centre with
Women Helpline (181) and other existing helplines.
