Notice Inviting Applications (NIA) for auction of Spectrum in 2100 MHz, 1800 MHz, 900 MHz and 800 MHz bands was issued by the Department of Telecommunications on 09-01-2015.

·        The details of 2100 MHz bands would be announced later.

·        Spectrum has been put on offer in 15 Service Areas (SAs) in 1800MHz band, 17 SAs in 900MHz and 20 SAs in 800MHz band.

·        Block size is 200 KHz (Paired) in 900 MHz & 1800 MHz bands; and 1.25 MHz (Paired) in 800 MHz band.

·        Validity of Spectrum in this auction shall be 20 years.

·        There is also option of deferred payment.

·        The auction format is simultaneous, multiple-round ascending auction.

·        NIA contains detailed terms and conditions regarding reserve price, pre-qualification conditions, Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), Auction Rules etc.

·        The last date for submission of application is 6^th February 2015.

·        Auction is scheduled to commence on 25^th February, 2015 and will be conducted on-line on URL- https://dot.mjunction.in

·        Total Spectrum put to auction is 103.75 MHz in 800 MHz band, 177.8 MHz in 900 MHz band and 99.2 MHz in 1800 MHz band.
