Special provisions have been made in Section 41 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Act, 2013 stipulating preparation of Development Plan laying down the details of procedure for settling land rights due, but not settled and restoring titles of the Scheduled Tribes as well as the Scheduled Castes on the alienated land by undertaking a special drive together with land acquisition. Further, Section 19 of the aforesaid Act provides that for publication of declaration and summary of Rehabilitation & Resettlement, the Requiring Body will deposit the amount towards cost of acquisition of land as prescribed by the appropriate Government.

 

This information is given today by Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Ministry Shri Mansukhbhai Dhanjibhai Vasava in Rajya Sabha.
