doctors of teaching, non-teaching and General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) sub
cadres of the Central Health Services (CHS) are posted in various organizations
spread in States/UTs including Central Government hospitals in Delhi namely
Safdarjung Hospital, Dr. RML Hospitals and LHMC & associated Hospitals.

The reasons for
vacant posts include promotion, retirement, resignation, termination,
creation of new posts, death, non- availability of suitable candidates, low
rate of joining at initial levels etc.
In-spite all
these constrains efforts are made to provide quality health care to the patients.

Creation of
posts in a Hospital is an ongoing process and requirement of manpower is taken
into account while approving the expansion, redevelopment projects. Filling of
posts are continuous process and is taken up in accordance with requirement.
Wherever possible, Hospitals are permitted to make contractual appointment
against vacant posts as a stop gap arrangement in public interest so that the
patient care does not suffer.
