The Number of Broadband Subscribers in the Country Reaches 55.20 Million Mark at the end of December 2013

           

           

            As per the reports received from the service providers, there are 55.20 Million Broadband subscribers in the country at the end of December, 2013. Segment wise broadband subscriber base are as below :

As per the latest data on telecom subscribers released by TRAI here today, the top five broadband service providers constitute 82.36% market share of total broadband subscribers.  They are BSNL (16.54 million), Bharti (10.88 million), Reliance (6.98 million), Idea (5.87 million) and Vodafone (5.20 million).                        

            Top five Wired Broadband Service providers are BSNL (9.98 million), Bharti (1.39 million), MTNL (1.11 million), Hathway Cable (0.36 million) and Beam Telecom (0.35 million).

            Top five Wireless Broadband Service providers are Bharti (9.49 million), Reliance (6.86 million), BSNL (6.55 million), Idea (5.86 Million) and Vodafone (5.20 million).
