The
international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by
Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and
Natural Gas went down to US$ 105.83 per barrel
(bbl) on 24.01.2014. This was lower than the price of US$ 106.25 per bbl on previous trading
day of 23.01.2014
In rupee terms also, the
crude oil price of Indian Basket decreased to Rs
6580.51 per bbl on 24.01.2014 as compared to Rs 6586.44 per bbl on 23.01.2014. This was due to price decrease in dollar terms
and also spurred on by rupee depreciation. Rupee closed weaker at Rs 62.18 per US$ on 24.01.2014
against Rs 61.99 per US$ on 23.01.2014.
