Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Extends its Reach to Remote Areas, Paving the Way for Inclusive Development
In an unprecedented display of outreach and engagement, the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the largest-ever initiative by the Government of India, has made remarkable strides in reaching remote corners of the nation, creating awareness about central government welfare schemes, and achieving the ambitious goal of 100% saturation of flagship programs.
The campaign, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 15, 2023, at Khunti, Jharkhand, commenced with multiple Information Education Communication (IEC) vans launched simultaneously from various locations. These IEC Vans intend to inform citizens about various welfare schemes and seek their participation in the spirit of “Jan Bhagidari” to ensure 100% saturation of schemes. The Yatra is planked on the vision of inclusive development, with a constant endeavor to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every citizen across the nation.
IEC Van reaching Zanaskar Valley and Kargil in Ladakh
Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra reached the Zanaskar Valley and Kargil in Ladakh, bringing the campaign’s message to the remotest corners of the country.
Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Reaches Kinnaur Tribal District, Himachal Pradesh
The Yatra successfully reached the Kinnaur tribal district of Himachal Pradesh, raising awareness about various welfare schemes of the Central Government among the local populace.
IEC Van Reaches West Jaintia Hills and East Khasi Hills
The campaign’s IEC van reached West Jaintia Hills and East Khasi Hills, furthering the Yatra’s mission to disseminate information and generate awareness about government schemes.
Residents of Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh Join the Yatra
The Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has garnered support from the residents of Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, who have actively pledged their support for a developed India.
Organisation of Health Camps in Uttarakhand
Health camps were organized during the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program in village Utpalta and Gangrau of Kalsi, in which 109 villagers were screened for TB and 89 villagers were screened for sickle cell anemia.
Raising Awareness about Welfare Schemes in Bihar
In its initial leg, the Yatra reached among the people of Lohra village located in Aghaura block of Kaimur district in Bihar. The residents were provided information about Ujjwala Yojana, PM-Kisan, Millets among other schemes.
Empowering people in Odisha
The ongoing Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra raises awareness among beneficiaries and extends the benefits of welfare schemes in Chitrakonda block, Malkangiri district in Odisha.
As on November 19, 2023, the Yatra has witnessed participation from around 300,000 individuals across 826 Gram Panchayats, showcasing a massive response from citizens eager to engage in the country’s development. Further, more than 58,400 people participated in Health Camps organized with over 25,000 people screened for TB, and over 15,500 for Sickle cell disease. Moreover, over 1.12 lakh new Ayushman Cards have been created providing free of cost treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh per family per year.
The Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is not merely an outreach initiative; it is a significant step towards ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach every citizen, thereby achieving 100% saturation and fostering active citizenry in the country’s development. By January 25, 2024, the Yatra aims to cover over 2.50 lakh Gram Panchayats and around 5000 urban local bodies across the country.
