The details of the quantum of foodgrain production in the country along with their procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP) by Government Agencies for last three years and current year is at Annexure-I.
The total storage capacity available with Food Corporation of India (FCI), Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) and the State Agencies (both owned and hired capacity), is 862.45 LMT (as on 31.05.2019) comprising 739.76 LMT in covered godowns and 122.69 LMT in Cover and Plinth (CAP) storage. The State-wise details are at Annexure-II.
The available storage capacity with FCI is optimally utilized for storage of wheat, rice & pulses. The average utilization of storage capacity with FCI during the last three years is given as below:
