Update on New AIIMS
MBBS Classes operationalized in 12 out of 16 New AIIMS
OPD Services functional in 10 New AIIMS

Setting up of 22 new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) across the country has been sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). Out of the sanctioned 22 AIIMS, 6 AIIMS at Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Patna (Bihar), Raipur (Chhattisgarh) and Rishikesh (Uttarakhand) became operational in 2012. Details of remaining 16 AIIMS is at Annexure.
