The state-of-the-art Integrated Steel Plant of NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) at Nagarnar, operating under the Ministry of Steel, has commenced the month of November by achieving a landmark production milestone. On November 3, 2026, the plant clocked a record output of 455 Hot Rolled (HR) coils within a single 24-hour operational window, marking its highest-ever single-day HR coil production since inception.
This unprecedented production of 455 HR coils within a single day underscores the cutting-edge technological excellence of NSL’s Hot Strip Mill (HSM), robust operational efficiencies, and the technical prowess of the workforce. The plant has been consistently scaling up its production parameters, surpassing its previous record of 440 HR coils set on the very first day of this month (November 1) within a span of just two days.
This single-day operational milestone reflects the plant’s sustained overall production trajectory. During FY 2025-26, the Nagarnar Steel Plant registered a total cumulative production of 23,24,902 tonnes, marking an impressive growth of 63 percent compared to 14,38,646 tonnes recorded in the previous fiscal year. This sustained production momentum plays a vital role in strengthening the domestic steel sector and reinforcing the vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
