The Office of the Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA), Punjab Circle, under the guidance of Shri V. N. Tandon, CCA Punjab, has launched the nationwide Life Certificate/Digital Life Certificate (LC/DLC) Campaign 5.0 across the state. Centered on the theme ‘Promotion of Face Authentication Technology’, the initiative aims to provide seamless, door-step assistance to pensioners and resolve their pension-related concerns efficiently.

The month-long campaign commenced today with a successful Life Certificate Camp organized at the BSNL GMTD Office, Amritsar. Over 60 pensioners attended the session, receiving on-the-spot support for life certificate submissions, guidance on documentation, and immediate resolution of pension queries.

The primary objective of this nationwide campaign is to simplify pension procedures for senior citizens and retired employees. Special emphasis is being laid on spreading awareness about digital platforms, including Jeevan Pramaan, UMANG, and DigiLocker, as well as other citizen-centric initiatives under Digital India. These tools enable pensioners to submit their annual life certificates using Face Authentication Technology from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for repeated office visits.

To ensure holistic care for the visiting senior citizens, several key welfare activities were organized during the camp:

  • Health & Medical Checkup: A general health checkup camp was conducted in collaboration with reputed local hospitals to assist senior citizens with basic medical screening and health guidance.
  • Environmental Initiative (Sapling Distribution): Promoting environmental awareness and green initiatives, plant saplings were distributed to participating pensioners.

Expressing satisfaction with the Amritsar camp, representatives from local Pensioner Associations commended the leadership of Shri V. N. Tandon, CCA Punjab, and thanked the official team for prompt service delivery. Pensioners noted that such outreach efforts make public services transparent, accessible, and hassle-free.

To ensure maximum coverage across the region, CCA Punjab will host LC/DLC camps at 9 additional locations throughout November 2026.
