During the campaign, special emphasis is being placed on registering eligible individuals under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, and Atal Pension Yojana; Aadhaar seeding for social security insurance schemes; opening new accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana; and reactivating dormant accounts. Facilities are also being provided to open bank accounts for families belonging to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), complete re-KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures for the uninterrupted operation of Jan Dhan and other savings accounts, and register or update nominations in savings accounts and bank lockers.
Citizens are being made aware at the camps about financial inclusion, secure digital transactions, and ways to prevent online financial fraud. Information about unclaimed financial assets is also being provided through the ‘Your Capital, Your Right’ campaign. Emphasis is also being placed on collecting applications for Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans from beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and providing information about the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for the upcoming rabi crop.
Mr. Deepak Kumar Abhishek said that under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, eligible individuals between 18 and 70 years of age receive insurance coverage of up to Rs. 2 lakh in case of accidental death or total disability at an annual premium of Rs. 20. Under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, eligible individuals between 18 and 50 years of age receive insurance coverage of Rs. 2 lakh in case of death due to any cause at an annual premium of Rs. 436.
